For those of us in Cleveland, the arrival of winter generates mixed emotions. We expect the weather to be gloomy for the next few months, but are buoyed by the prospect that each new day brings us closer to spring and summer. Likewise, from an investment perspective, we will probably witness slower economic growth and more corporate earnings misses in 2006, but this slowdown should allow the Federal Reserve to finally complete its prolonged round of interest rate hikes.
